Leather watch straps have a limited life these days, unless you are fortunate enough to have a top quality leather. Its the same situation with leather belts. The occasional one seems to last for ever, while most also have a limited life.

Leather watch straps are available in a wide selection of colors, types and widths to suit the different watch casing sizes. There are genuine replacement ones from the original watch manufacturer, as well as after market ones at keener prices.
But it came be difficult to find a genuine replacement watch band sometimes, so this is when it is looking at the various regular replacement leather watch straps.

If you have a nice watch, a leather strap adds to the look. But if you are working outside, or your watch gets a hard life, then a velcro watch strap or metal watch strap may be more practical.

One option is to invest in more than one watch strap for your favourite watch and to change it occasionaly to suit the circumstances.
A one piece watch strap is an option, which can be more reliable. In the event of a pin breaking, you don’t drop or lose your valuable watch.
